Rantan Village was a conceptual assisted living community for those suffering with dementia that I worked on for my senior thesis. I took the time to consult medical professionals to discover that many of those with this disease regressed to a child-like time, so I wanted to evoke a youthful thematic color scheme of primary colors, but with a more muted palette to be more pleasing to the elderly community as it has been found that over time the rods cones in our eyes fail and we are more drawn to de-saturated colors in our older age.
